Title: Nikon Focus point used Map or guide
Post by: photof2as on September 13, 2013, 03:58:07 pm
I did a search on the forum for this topic and came up blank so if I missed please let me know
Here is my question
I noticed in the EXIF data that is shows the auto focus point used as a letter number set (A6) for example.
Does anyone have a map or legend that shows where A6 is in relationship to the (in my case D700) auto focus points so I can determine which point was used
Nikon View NX shows a red box where the focus point was but I was hoping to not have to use two programs plus it would be helpful to sort my images by focus point to see if I have any issues etc.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

New version (5.3) has ability to customize names and format values - includes preset which provides D700-compatible focus point formatting.

Consider using the new plugin by Chris Reimold for focus points, if your camera is supported (@now: Nikon & Canon):
