If there is an update, then its usually a good idea to download it and update the plugin, but there are some things to consider: The newer version contains unpopulated "skeleton" versions of some automatically generated files, namely:
So after installation, you will need to re-commit the database (which re-generates the above-mentioned files), and reload the plugin - which puts them into effect - OR replace the above mentioned files with the ones from your previous installation, then reload the plugin without commiting. Either way works... UPDATE @2011-10-15: 'Update Plugin' button in plugin manager takes care of all this who-shot-john for you, so you don't miss a beat... |
