Hi

Since I upgraded to the new v3 plugin, I frequently get errors that LR needs more disk space, and that I must free up 20MB.
I am not 100% sure, but I think this error comes from the plugin, as it normally happens wen I interact with the plugin, and it only started happening after I upgraded to v3.

If I just click the ok button a few times the error goes away.

I have plenty of disk space free, 60GB / 250GB on drive C, 670GB of 5.4TB on drive D, 1.8TB of 5.4TB on drive E.

Does the error come from the plugin?
How do I fix it?

I don't think so.

Try removing the plugin and see if the error goes away.

How much disk space *do* you have free?

How much space free, I quote from my first post:

I.e. 60GB free on drive C, 670GB free on drive D, 1.8TB free on drive E.

If I remove the plugin, and work with LR, I never see that error.

Sorry it took me so long to respond - I wasn't getting the reply notifications.

I've seen this message on the forum due to other plugins too. I think the problem is you don't have enough free space on your disk.

System starts to complain when you have 9X% utilization. The error message is confusing since it says it wants 20MB when you've got 60GB, but I think you'll find if you free up a few more gig the error will go away.

My LR catalog is on a drive with 670GB free space, just how much more space is needed?

It seems to me that a more likely explanation is a bug in some code, either the plugin, or LR, and that it could be caused by a temporary file access/in-use problem, or a 32 bit overflow problem?

I'm not sure what to say, except I've never seen the error whilst development, nor heard of anyone else having the problem with ExifMeta v3. I'm not saying it isn't possible, only saying I've never seen / heard of it.

If its not a drive space issue on C, then the root of the cause may be a different disk error - check out this forum about it (solution is near the bottom): http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/incorrect_error_message

This is what CrashPlan support said:
"If there is a large file in use and CrashPlan is trying to upload it, it may cause a conflict. I believe that turning off the real-time file watcher should prevent this from happening."

In my opinion, the less things "trying to help" while you work, the better.

Let us know if turning off CrashPlan's real-time file watcher helps.
