All in the last months or so ...

My LR 5.7 ExifMeta plugin complained about not being able to check for updates at RobCole.com. 
I verified it has been offline for a while.

I then stumbled on LR 5.7.1 update.
So I upgraded from LR 5.7 to LR 5.7.1.  Same problem. 

No sooner did I install 5.7.1, Adobe announced release of LR 6.0. 
This is the LAST and FINAL (non-CC) release of LR!!!!!!!!.

I just bought, downloaded, installed 6.0 for $79 before they pull it off the site. 
It, too, has the same problem.

For what it's worth, version 5.11 of ExifMeta works for me in LR6.  You get the nag message about it maybe not working, but so far it seems to.

Does anyone know the status of Rob Cole? 
His web site has been down for quite a while.
That also means no downloads and can't email Rob.

Did you have to change anything with configuration or the file location of the plugin?  I'm still having this problem since moving to Lightroom CC(6).

What problem are you having?  As long as the website is offline, you won't be able to update the plugin.  All I'm saying is that the current version of ExifMeta appears to work fine in LR6. 

Because LR6 creates a new catalog, I found I had to save metadata to an image file to get the fields to appear in the field list in the plugin, but once I did that, it worked as it did in LR5.

Is anyone able to upload a copy of the latest ExifMeta?

(While i'm not Rob...) I'd be willing to try make any changes to it if there are issues with Lightroom 6

I have a copy of "ExifMeta_(lrplugin)_5.9.zip." Is that what you are looking for? If so, where should I upload it?

I would just like to know...

1. What's wrong in this picture (see below)?  IOW does this have anything to do with why am I not able to execute in LR CC? Since it is the message I get whenever I try to run it. ... and more importantly -
2. If not Rob Cole then who will carry on with ExifMeta?Huh

What do you get if you run:

    "exiftool" -l -X "/Volumes/sjD SSD 480GB 3/Pawprint Pictures/20150411/20150411-150643-12.nef"

at the command line?

The log message is telling you that the plugin doesn't think exiftool is producing the metadata from the image file that it expects.  Post the output of the above command and let's make sure exiftool is working as expected. 

But in fact, it looks like ExifMeta can't find your exiftool.  Do you know the path to exiftool on your machine?  What's entered in the box labeled "exiftool executable" in the ExifMeta General settings in the Plugin Manager?  (mine says /usr/local/bin/exiftool).

Right now I have nothing in General Settings "exiftool executable" box to direct the path to ExifTool.

Interestingly, using v5.9 (thanks Ron) I'm able to get the Meta Fields Table populated and the plugin works fine, with nothing in "exiftool executable".

That said, I'm relieved to see that EM and LR6(CC) do work together.

Yeah, I seem to recall that there was an issue with one of the earlier versions where ExifMeta didn't use the correct default path for exiftool on Macs (which is probably why I have one specified in the settings).  Glad to hear that it's working now.

In order to cut down on the number of private e-mail requests for "ExifMeta_(lrplugin)_5.9.zip,"  could someone explain how to insert such a file into a post in this Forum?
