I recommend checking for updates periodically using the 'Check for Update' button in the plugin manager.
If there is an update, then its usually a good idea to download it and update the plugin, but there are some things to consider:
The newer version contains unpopulated "skeleton" versions of some automatically generated files, namely:
- ExifMeta_MetadataDefinition_AutoGenerated(DoNotEdit).lua
- MetadataTagsets_AutoGenerated(DoNotEdit).lua
So after installation, you will need to re-commit the database (which re-generates the above-mentioned files), and reload the plugin - which puts them into effect -
OR replace the above mentioned files with the ones from your previous installation, then reload the plugin without commiting.
Either way works...
